The short version

• Halt does not require an account. There is nothing to sign up for.
• Your app usage, limits and blocking rules are processed on your device.
• We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers.
• This website sets no advertising or tracking cookies.

Who we are

Halt is developed and published by Easify Studios ("we", "us"). You can reach us at info.easifystudios@gmail.com with any question about this policy or about data we may hold.

The app

Screen Time data

Halt's launcher, app blocker, friction prompts, doomscroll interrupter and Deep Freeze mode are built on Apple's Screen Time (Family Controls / Managed Settings / Device Activity) APIs. Apple designed these APIs so that the details of which apps you use, and for how long, are handled by the operating system and are not readable by the app in a form that can be exported. Your activity data stays on your device.

Your settings

The apps you choose to limit, the budgets you set, your launcher list and your Deep Freeze schedules are stored locally on your device (and in your own iCloud backup, if you have iCloud backups switched on — that copy belongs to you and is governed by Apple's privacy policy, not ours).

Diagnostics

Apple may provide us with anonymised crash reports and aggregate App Store analytics if you have opted in to sharing analytics with developers in your iOS settings. These are aggregated by Apple and are not linked to you by us. You can turn this off at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.

Purchases

Halt is free on the App Store. If in-app purchases are offered in the future, they are processed by Apple. We never receive or store your payment card details.

This website

minimalistphone.app is a static website. It sets no advertising cookies and no cross-site tracking. Our hosting provider processes standard server request logs (IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp) for security and abuse prevention; these are retained for a short period and are not used to build a profile of you.

Links to the App Store leave this site. Once you follow one, Apple's privacy policy applies to what happens next.

Children

Halt is rated 4+ and is designed to be usable by families, but it is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live — including in the EU/EEA and UK under the GDPR, and in California under the CCPA/CPRA — you have rights to access, correct, delete and port personal data we hold about you, and to object to certain processing. Because Halt operates without accounts and keeps your data on your device, in most cases we hold nothing to give you: deleting the app removes the data. Where we do hold something, write to info.easifystudios@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days.

We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law.

Changes

If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top of this page and, where the change affects how the app handles your data, note it in the App Store release notes.
